Fred Allen Getce , Sr.

Fred Allen Getce, Sr. 70, of Ashtabula passed away unexpectedly Friday August 13, 2021 at ACMC.  He was born June 2, 1951 in Ashtabula the son of Frank & Imogene (Dunkle) Getce.

Fred graduated from Harbor High School class of 1969.

He worked for Fuller Apartments as the Manager and also did the maintenance.

He enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, the outdoors, playing poker, teaching card tricks, he loved Elvis, motorcycles, and old cars.  He was a Boy Scout leader for many years taking his grandsons & nephews to scouts and most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors include his wife Cheri (Dell) whom he married May 29, 1993; children, Fred (Rebecca) Getce, Jr., Dana (Mark Nellis) Getce , Tiffany (Shawn) Braden and Angela Ross; grandchildren, Myles, Alisa, Adrianna, Jonah, Madisyn, Emma, Evan & Max; siblings, John “Bud” Getce and Shirley Rohm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Tommy, Neal, Sharon, Susie, Sissy & David.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday August 17, 2021 at the Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
