Garrett G. Greene, 18, of Conneaut, passed away early Thursday morning, August 12, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born October 1, 2002, in Ashtabula, the son of Larry Greene and Mary Beth (Bernard) Greene.
Garrett graduated this year from A-tech with his welding certificate. He worked for Roesch Tree Service and also Polchosky Excavating. He enjoyed riding anything with wheels or motors. He loved building trucks, motorcycles, 4-wheelers, and minibikes, but most of all being with his friends.
Survivors include his mother Mary Beth Greene of Conneaut; honorary stepfather Richard Berkowitz of Conneaut; sister Donna (Roger) Polley of Garrettsville, OH; aunt Molly (Carl) Kettler of Evanston, IL; great-aunt Joan (Kent) Crea of Lockport, NY; honorary grandmother Patricia Berkowitz of Conneaut; and his niece, great niece, cousins, and numerous loving aunts and uncles. In addition to his relatives, Garrett is survived by his “Aunt” Tammy McEachon and “Aunt” Becky Hoagland.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry; his maternal grandparents Albert Bernard, Jr., George and Barbara Brimmer; and paternal grandparents Garrett and Juanita Greene.
Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 P.M., Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut., with a very brief service being held at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor April Osborne officiating.
Garrett’s family would like to give a special “Thank You” to UPMC Presbyterian 4th floor ICU Neurological Unit Doctors, Nurses, and Staff for their wonderful care of Garrett during his time there.
