Gayle A. Stanfield

Gayle A. Stanfield, 66 of Conneaut, died November 11, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born October 15, 1957 to John “Jack” and Violet (Rositer) Frost in Conneaut, Ohio.

Gayle graduated from Conneaut High School in 1977 and had been a STNA at the former Inn-Conneaut Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

In her free time, she loved to shop and find great deals and going to garage sales. Her greatest joy was from being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Michael whom she married in 2004; four daughters Crystal (Christopher) Ross, Tammy (Dustin Watts) Fertig, Jess (Jonathan Host) Fertig and Tina Fertig all of Conneaut; a son Zack Wilson of Conneaut; sister Kathy (Bob) Hicks of Syracuse, NY, and brother Bill “Frosty” Frost of Conneaut; and her beloved grandchildren Seth, Huntar (Sadies), Owen, Dyllan, Zoiey, Adrie and Jonah and best friend Rhoda.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret Flack and brother James “Frosty” Frost.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Family wishes to extend their heart felt appreciation to the Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care they provided Gayle during this difficult time.

One of Gayle's last wishes was to be an organ donor and with the help of her family and hospice this was possible.

Memorial Contributions can be made in her memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
