Gene A. Burdick Jr.

Gene A. Burdick Jr. passed away March 7, 2026 in Ashtabula, OH. He was born October 23, 1968 in Conneaut, OH to Gene A. Burdick Sr. and Virginia (Waldo) Rocco.

He worked for many years at the former General Aluminum and then at Swagelok in quality control for over twenty years.

Gene was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed a good cookout where he could be found grilling, camping, socializing at local establishments and could put a smile on anyone’s face with a silly joke or hilarious prank and following his liver transplant a year ago, he was able to visit his sweet companion Emily in the Philippines.

He is survived by his children Miranda (Kristopher) Burns, Brandon Burdick and Gene A. (Camillie Brown) Burdick III all of Ashtabula, OH; Step-children Staphany Newsome of Stow, OH, Andrea Newsome of Cleveland, OH; Siblings Ruby Burdick and Jason Burdick of Conneaut, OH and Paul (Robyn) Burdick of Ashtabula, OH; loving companion Emily Moreno Albeso of the Philippines; grandchildren Kaylee and Kol Burns, Evalynn Burdick and Emalynn Liberatore.

Preceding Gene in death are his parents, wife Penny Burdick, mother of his children Loretta Burns, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be 12:00 to 3:00pm, Friday March 13, 2026 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030 who has been entrusted with his arrangements.
