He married Dorothy “Dot” (Rolland) on October 5, 1957, celebrating 65 years together.

After graduation, he worked various jobs before starting full time farming with his brother Richard. Together, and later with his son, David, they built and operated Kon Yat registered Holsteins - an outstanding herd that was dispersed in 2005- they then began a hay and grain operation.

George served as a delegate to Milk Marketing, Inc; a board member of Western Reserve co op for several years, a member of Ohio and National Holstein Associations; a member of New Leaf United Methodist Church; and served as trustee for the Station 3 Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children David (Cheryl) Hogle and their son, Shane; JoAnn Hogle (Jason Brammer and Connor); Beth (Sal) Jafarace and their children Joey, Jillian (Zac) Freeman and their daughter Cora Grace, and his sister Shirley (Mathew) Forman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Richard Hogle, and an infant daughter.
