Gina M. DeNunzio, 58, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. She was born on October 11, 1966 in Conneaut, the daughter of Edgar and W. Marie (Waid) Boggs.
She graduated from Conneaut High School and received her bachelor's degree from Kent State University. She worked for many years at General Aluminum in the HR department and most recently worked for Worthington Enterprises.
Gina was a selfless woman who had a great love for her family, especially her children. Her greatest moments were spent with them, a true blessing. She enjoyed the holidays, shopping, watching tv, relaxing, taking their dog Georgia for rides, the ocean, and going on vacations. One thing for sure, Gina loved her special coffee time with family and friends. Those moments that will be cherished forever.
Survivors include her children Megan, Sarah, Nicholas, and Matthew (Riley Joslin) DeNunzio, all of Conneaut, her brother Kenny Boggs, of Conneaut; nephews Kyle and James Boggs of Sommerville, SC; her cousin who was like a sister Sandi (Dan) Rivera of Conneaut; special extended family Jackie (Larry Butte) Rose, of Conneaut, Helen (Russell) Bearce of Kingsville, Kirk (Kellie) Giles, Deanna Brown, and Tony Rivera, and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband Richard “Pooch” DeNunzio whom passed in 2023; and special aunt Pearl Giles.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut with Pastor April Osborne of First Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their mom’s team at the Cleveland Clinic, as well as the staff at the David Simpson Hospice House. Your compassionate care for her in her final days will forever be remembered.
