Gregory S. Hedrick

Gregory S. “Greg” Hedrick, 65, of Conneaut, passed away Sunday evening, August 10, 2025. He was born February 15, 1960 in Conneaut, OH, the son of Bert G. Hedrick and Elizabeth H. (Orrenmaa) Hedrick.

Greg graduated from high school and went to Tiffin University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He worked as a Corrections Officer and most recently as Recreation Manager for Core Civic for 25 years.

He enjoyed listening to music, sitting at the public docks, collecting cars and going to car shows, exercising, watching movies, and was a lover of animals. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Melinda (Holcomb) Hedrick, daughter Aly Hedrick of Conneaut; step-son Marshall (Rachel) Olsen of Warren, OH; father-in-law Bucky of Kelloggsville; grandchildren Ignatius, Adalia, Eivor; sisters Karen (Bill) Jepson of Kingsville, and Denise (Tim) Neal of Martinez, GA; brother Douglas (Nancy) Hedrick of Conneaut; nieces and nephews Cody (Nichelle), Bryan, Justin (Alyssa), Ryan, Leah, Corey, Rachel (Ryan), Miranda, Bailey (Alex), Gavin, Kaitlin (Glen), Hannah (Connor), and Jakob; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Burial will take place at a later date in East Conneaut Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the funeral home.
