Helen C (Gee) Fosburg-Shuster

Helen C. Fosburg-Shuster, 85 of Conneaut passed away peacefully surrounded by her family into the presence of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ on August 5, 2025 at The Villa at the lake in Conneaut. She was born October 2, 1939 to Floyd and Caroline (Hall) Gee in Conneaut, OH.

Helen graduated from West Springfield High school and spent most of her younger years raising her family and then at the age of forty-six went back to school to become an LPN. She worked for several years at the former Inn Conneaut Nursing and Rehabilitation center before retiring in 1995 to care for her mother who also had dementia. Following her mother’s passing, she began to do private in-home care and continued her passion was caring of others.

She was a long-time member of the East Conneaut Wesleyan Methodist church, where she was an active member. Reading was her favorite pass time, traveling with family, her meals and baked goods she would prepare were loved by all. But most of all, her true enjoyment was being surrounded by family and spending time with them all.

Helen will be greatly missed but always in the hearts of her: Children Jackie (Joel) Kauppila of Conneaut, Kathy (Tim) Taylor of Tipp City, OH and Skip (Bridget) Fosburg of Englewood, OH; sisters Elizabeth Weston of Conneaut and Ruby Hershelman of Bradenton, Fl; grandchildren Michael, Heather, Megan, Tom, Krissy, Tim, Bethany; six great-grandchildren with two additional on the way; and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.

Preceding her in death is her parents, a son Tommy Fosburg; and Denny Fosburg.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Wednesday August 13, 2025 at The Marcy Funeral Home 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030 who has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday also, from 10:00 until the time of service at 12:00PM.

Burial will follow in East Conneaut Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made to The National Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
