Hugh M. Flanigan, 78, of North Kingsville, passed away Thursday morning, May 14, 2020 at Saybrook Landing in Saybrook Township, OH. He was born September 24, 1941 in Cleveland, OH, and was the son of Kenneth and Helen (Pontious) Flanigan.
Hugh was a pipe fitter for the Local 120 Pipe Fitters Union.
Hugh’s greatest love, his whole world, was his wife Josephine, whom he married June 9, 1962. He was Lutheran by faith and had a love for fishing, spending winters in Okeechobee Florida for the last 30 years. He was well known for his humor, and great wit, especially all the jokes he loved to play on his family and friends. Most of all, he loved being with his family and friends, adoring each one.
Survivors include his wife Josephine (Toth) Flanigan; sons Michael (Lisa) Flanigan of Monroe Twp., Kenny (Elizabeth) Flanigan of Burton, OH, and Hugh (Catarina) Flanigan of N. Kingsville; grandchildren Maggie (Ryan Drew) Flanigan of Monroe Twp., Matthew (Megan Bevevino) Flanigan of Geneva, Chloe Flanigan and Huey Flanigan, both of North Kingsville, Marley Flanigan of Westlake, OH, Mary Flanigan, Jack Flanigan, Kenneth Edward Flanigan and the III, all of Burton, OH; and his great-grandson Wyatt Michael Flanigan Drew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Janice Aufdenberg.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at later time.
