Ida L. LaMont

Ida L. LaMont, 91, of Conneaut passed away on October 7, 2022 with her daughter at her side.  She was born August 27, 1931 in Providence, RI, the daughter of George and Emma (Hicks) Hill.

Ida worked for the Astatic company in Conneaut., she also worked at the day care at the former First United Methodist Church.

She bowled in the Tuesday night league at El Camp lanes.

Ida married Lyle LaMont on July 4, 1951, after retirement they lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for several years.

Survivors include her children, Jocelyn LaMont, Lyle “Rusty” (Connie) LaMont, Jr., “adopted daughter” Mary DeNunzio Sonnhalter and grandchildren, Gabriel (Krystle) Sleigh, Woody (Merissa Mucciarone) Runyon, James and Jason LaMont, along with numerous great-grandchildren, and her dog Rocko.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle LaMont Sr.; sons Greg and George LaMont and grandson Dustin Sleigh.

Memorial Service will be held 6:30 PM Thursday October 13, 2022 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Leaf United Methodist Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
