James Austin Hizer, Jr of Conneaut went to be with Jesus, Wednesday December 15, 2021 at UH Conneaut after complications from COVID. He was born July 22, 1933 in Quinwood, West Virginia, the son of James Austin Hizer and Edith (Denny) Pittsenbarger. He was married to the love of his life, Carol (Ritchey) Hizer for sixty years.
Jim retired from True Temper in Lake City, PA in 1998.
He enjoyed working in the flower beds, planting the garden, tinkering on older cars, mowing the lawn, and driving around the lake looking for ducks to feed. He loved going to Township Park to have breakfast and picnics. He liked watching westerns and was very fond of the Gaither Homecoming videos in his later years. Ultimately, his favorite thing was to visit with his family and friends.
