James A. "Jim" Sietman

James A. “Jim” Sietman, 69, of Ashtabula, OH, passed away on Aug 12, 2022, in Newnan, Georgia following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 6, 1953, in Euclid, OH, the son of Jack and Helen (Norton) Sietman.

Jim worked for Iten Industries as a CNC machinist and designed many programs over the last 27 years of employment.

He is a long-time member of Federated Church in East Springfield, PA., and loved to travel and even went to a corvette museum, collect die cast cars, was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, he loved his family, taking the grandkids different places like the horse park in Lexington, KY and camping as often as possible and go for rides on his motorcycle when there was time.

Jim is survived by his wife Darlene (Johnston) whom he married August 1, 1992, his children April (Kevin) Litman of Columbus, OH., Heather (Tom Fritz) Rice of Geneva, OH., Tommy (Jennifer) Mullins of Columbus, OH., and Greg (Wendy) Sietman of Portland, OR.; sisters Ruth Sietman of Loxahatchee, FL, and Becky (Earl) Mast of Hartville, OH; brothers Sam (Elva) Rosario of FL, David (Annette) Sietman of Canton , OH, and Dan (Bernie) Sietman of Dayton, OH; and grandchildren Alyssa, Tyler and Hunter Rice, Elijah, Gabriel, Clara and Lydia Litman, and James, Bradley, and Lizzy Sietman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister in infancy; and his in-laws John and Clara Johnston Jr.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday August 19, 2022, at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030 with Rev. Dr. Edward Huntley of Federated Church officiating.

Calling hours will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday August 18, 2022, and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the funeral home.
