James “Jim” N. Winslow, 84, of Conneaut, passed away at UPMC Hamot Hospital Saturday evening, January 22, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born January 19, 1938 in Youngstown, New York, the son of Arthur and Tanis (Ramiraz) Winslow.
Jim graduated from Lewiston Central High School and enlisted in the United States Navy serving during Vietnam Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he worked for the UA Local 73 as a pipefitter retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Conneaut, the American Legion Cowle Post #151 where he was a past commander and served on the Honor Guard, the VFW, the Conneaut Moose Lodge, and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling back to his hometown to get his fresh fruit, was affectionately known as the “Candyman,” and enjoyed being with his family.
Survivors include his children Becky Winslow, Cheryl Winslow, Richard Ercolani, and Todd Ercolani; brothers Arthur Winslow, and Leo Winslow; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Margaret Winslow and Sister Mary Lou Schultz.
Celebration of life for Jim will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 370 State St., Conneaut, with Rev. Robert C. Guldenschuh, Jr. officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
