James A. Wiser

Longtime North Kingsville resident James A. Wiser, 80, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022. He was born October 19, 1941 in Pierpont, OH, the son of Ralph and Edna (Hakulinen) Wiser.

After high school graduation, James enlisted in the United States Marine Corp serving from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964, he then transferred to the Marine Corps Reserve until 1966.

James worked for Elkem as an operator, and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and listening to bluegrass music.

Survivors include his sons Erik (Robin) Wiser, William (Lori) Wiser, John (Karen) Wiser, all of Conneaut, and James Wiser of Andover; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara (Pasanen) Wiser in 2010; his son Joseph Wiser; brothers William and Raymond Wiser; and sister Lila Russell.

No services will be held. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, has charge of arrangements.
