James "Jim" H. Cline

James “Jim” H. Cline, 81, of Conneaut, passed away July 1, 2026 at East Care Hospice Center in Cleveland, OH. He was born on May 30, 1945 in Ashtabula, the son of Harry and H. Marion (Bisbee) Cline.

Jim graduated from Conneaut High School, class of 1963 and attended Ohio Northern for a year before transferring to Kent State University where he earned multiple associate degrees in engineering. He was in the Army National Guard  and worked in the office at RMI Titanium Plant from 1965 to 1991, General Aluminum and as a young man worked a year sailing on the Great Lakes.

He was raised in the Baptist Church and in his youth, was a lifeguard at Pymatuning State Park and worked at a fishery. He was a member of the Lake Erie Boat Club, Fish and Game Club, and was an outdoors man. He loved nature, hunting, fishing, boating, reading, listening to music, all sports, going out to eat especially with his high school class that he helped organize once a month, his morning coffee, Saturday evening poker games, bird watching in his yard and along Lake Erie and a good Nascar race on Sunday afternoons.

Survivors include his loving companion of 15 years, who he has known all of his life Sandra K. Page; daughter-in-law Rebecca Cline of Chicago; and nephews Justin (Lori) Cline and Scott Cline both of Conneaut; and more distant relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel J. Cline; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Nancy Cline; and an older sister Betty Mosier.

At Jim’s request, no services will be observed. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., is entrusted with arrangements.
