Jerry R. Joslin, 88, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on March 14th, 2023 at The Cleveland Clinic. Born March 24th, 1934 in Conneaut, he was the son of Garner and Dorothy (Cole) Joslin.
Jerry graduated from Conneaut High School. After Graduation Jerry went on to marry his high school sweetheart Mary Ann (Lopeman) Joslin on February 14th, 1953. They enjoyed 66 wonderful years of marriage together before Mary’s passing.
Jerry had many passions including his business, Joslin Painting Company, for which he ran for many years, being a 4H advisor for his children and being a horse show steward at the at Lake County Fair. In the later years of life Jerry enjoyed watching his grandsons many sporting games and found great joy in fishing.
Survivors include his children, Terry (Gary) Slaybaugh, Richard (Lydia) Joslin and Stacy (Kevin Stillwell) Joslin; His grandchildren, Cody Slaybaugh, Jared Joslin, Eli Joslin, Austin (Samantha) DiBell, and Tyler DiBell; and his great grandson Hunter DiBell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ann Joslin and his half-brother Dick Joslin.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday April 1st, 2023 at Plymouth United Methodist Church, 970 Plymouth Brick Road W. Ashtabula. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till the time of the service.
The family invites everyone to join them for lunch after the completion of the service to honor Jerry’s life. This will be located in the fellowship hall of Plymouth Church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the family, envelopes will be provided at the service and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
