Jess Finlaw Obituary

Jess W. Finlaw, 87, passed away Thursday February 11, 2021 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.  He was born May 17, 1933 in Burton, Ohio the son of Raymond & Theresa (Soos) Finlaw.

Jess retired from the City of Conneaut Road Department in 1981.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding around in his golf cart, traveling with family and Wintering in Texas.  Jess enjoyed spending time with his family.

 

Survivors include his children, Terri (Phil) Lucas, Gary (Linda) Finlaw, Jane (Steve) Claus, Cindy (Bill) Altman, Jeff (Peggy Ward) Finlaw, Chriss (Dale) March, Greg (Wilhelmina) Finlaw, Lori (John) Golembiowski, Scott (Gypsy Montgomery) Finlaw and Rachel Long; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Glenn) Covell. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joan; daughter Kathy McCall & brother Gary Snyder.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday February 20, 2021 at the Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. The service will be streamed LIVE on FACEBOOK at 12:00 Noon on Saturday.

Burial will take place in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe Twp. Fire Department, 4095 Center Rd. Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
