Joe A. Chapin

Joe A. Chapin, 54, of West Springfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following an accident. He was born November 15, 1965 in Andover, OH, the son of Bob Culver and Ruthann McCullough.

Joe was a self-employed logger and enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, doing horse pulls and attending horse shows, but most of all he loved spending time being “Poppy” to his beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Becky Chapin whom he married on December 31, 1987; step-father Hugh McCullough of Manchester, TN; two daughters Karla (Matt) Beatman of Conneaut, and Bobi Jo (Jeff) Onion of Norfolk, VA; son Dennis “DJ” (fiancé Patti Benin) Harrington of Geneva; brother Shawn (Debra) Chapin of Manchester, TN; and his loving grandchildren Tayleigh, Hope, Oliver, Faith, Zac, Levi, and Scarlett.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Ruthann.

Celebration of Life Visiting Hours will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 PM at The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030.

Covid 19 rules will be enforced, masks must be worn at all times and social distancing will be observed!
