John H. Eaton, Sr.

John H. Eaton, Sr., 75, of Pierpont, passed away Wednesday February 1, 2023 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home surrounded by his family. John was born September 17, 1947, in Conneaut. He was the son of Oscar and Anna (Huber) Eaton.

John was a Conneaut High School Graduate.  On July 11, 1970, he married Carol (Shean).  Over John’s lifetime he worked at P&C Dock Company, Reliance Electric, Dolly Madison and later retired from Community Counseling Center as the Maintenance Manager.

Music meant a lot to John, whether he was listening to it on his Jukebox or showing his moves on the dance floor.  John was known for his quick wit, jokes, infectious smile, and strength during life’s adversities.  John enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends, but the minutes spent with his grandchildren were by far his favorite!

John is survived by his wife Carol and their three children:  J.J. (Dawn), Julie Tenney, and Jackie (Adam) Lytle; grandchildren, Claire, Bradley, Alice and Drew Eaton, Reese and Jonah Tenney, Carson and Caroline Lytle.

John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Garold, Ralph, Mildred, Charlotte, and Gladys.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday February 8, 2023, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday February 9, 2023, at the funeral home with burial following in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township, Ohio.
