Joyce A. (Petro) DeWalt

Joyce A. DeWalt, 76, of Conneaut, passed away November 29, 2022 at the Villa at the Lake surrounded by her family.  She was born December 31, 1945 in Conneaut, the daughter of Steve and Julia (Simon) Petro.

Joyce worked for Conneaut Kmart for 23 years as a cashier.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she was the Sunday School Secretary, pianist, member of the choir, and women’s ministries. She enjoyed going to antique malls, collecting Fenton Glassware, cooking, and was a caretaker for her mother.

Survivors include her children, Renae (Frank) Picard and Michael (Jodee) DeWalt both of Conneaut; grandchildren Allyson, Andrea, and Richard Picard, and Anne, Aimee, and Ryan DeWalt; great-granddaughter Grace Snyder; and her sister Margaret Haima of Hamburg, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Earle DeWalt in 2019, whom she married February 11, 1967.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday December 3, 2022 at the Conneaut First Assembly of God, 389 W. Main Rd., Conneaut. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Friday December 2, 2022 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Additional calling hour will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday.
