Joyce A. (Homola) Mansfield

Joyce A. Mansfield, 82, of North Kingsville and formerly of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away Saturday April 8, 2023 at Tri Point Medical Center.  Born November 29, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio, she was daughter of Joseph and Ruby (Workman) Homola.

Joyce worked for several trucking companies throughout the years, Combine Trucking, Pony Trucking and Aspen Trucking as an office manager.
A quote from one of the employees said “Your mom was always a treat, extremely intelligent and a classy lady.  I was always amazed how she was able to handle truck drivers she over saw, and you could always see the respect they had for her.”

She enjoyed bowling and loved taking care of her flower gardens.  While a resident at the Villa she loved doing crafts, playing bingo, and helping make desserts in the kitchen.  Joyce loved feeding the birds and had many bird feeders at her home and one outside her window at the Villa that the maintenance person installed for her. During her stay at the Villa, she also became known as the greeting card lady.  She organized the greeting cards that were donated by a local pharmacy that were available for all the residents. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved them with all her heart and soul!

Survivors include her children, Raymond “Tom” (Susan) Mansfield of Steubenville and Cindy Estock of North Kingsville; grandchildren, Brian (Brittany), Scott (Jamie), Matthew (Megan), Christopher, and Andrew Estock, Samantha Richardson, and Lacey Mansfield; fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, a sister Louise, and son-in-law Mark.

Funeral Service will be held 6:00 Pm Thursday April 13, 2023 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, 44030, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

The burial will take place at 12:00 Noon Friday April 14, 2023 at Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto, Ohio.  Please meet at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Villa at the Lake activities fund.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
