Obituary
Katherine “Kay” Shannon, 82, of Conneaut passed away Friday January 28, 2022 at UH Cleveland Hospice. She was born July 19, 1939 in New Kensington, PA. The daughter of William and Janet (Durborow) Campbell.
Kay worked for Camp Calvary in the kitchen. She enjoyed camping, traveling, cards, shuffleboard and was active in the church.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Kelly) Hockenberry, Kimberly Pifer, Mark Shannon, Kathy Tinker, Karla (Donald) Ransom, Kary Hockenberry, Coralie (Mark) Laughner, Sean Shannon, Ross Shannon; Eighteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren; brother, William (Mercedes) Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Phillip Shannon and a son Kevin Hockenberry.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM Thursday February 3, 2022 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Burial will take place in East Conneaut Cemetery next to her husband later.
Memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer or to the Wounded Warrior Project. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
