Kathy Olszeski, 74, passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of her children on February 25, 2021 of Cancer.
Kathy spent her career employed as a caregiver for many years. She had a love and passion for the arts and became a prolific crafter, painter, and jewelry maker.
Her Hungarian roots led her to become a master home chef with an addiction of hot peppers and garlic. There was nothing she loved more than spending time gardening or trying to catch a big Red fish in the ocean. She always managed to angle the big fish, including rare catches like an eel and a shark off the coast of Rhode Island.
She was a loving, kind, and supportive wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her brothers Dennis and Jim Engelmann, her sisters Judy and Gary Cowper, Sue and John Sherwood, Terri and Keith Egner, and Mary Jane and Lou Malensek; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Elizabeth Engelmann; her brother Marty and his wife Joan Engelman, her sister in laws Vicki and Elaine Engelmann.
Dave Olszeski, 77, joined Kathy in peace on March 5th also in the care of his loving children. Dave proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy.
He was owner and operator of Dasan's upholstery shop in Willowick, Ohio for 30 years. He was referred to as the mayor of the plaza where his shop was located because of his uncanny ability to make people laugh and feel as ease. Early in life he was involved in the theater which led him to become a connoisseur of motion pictures and he built an extensive personal collection of all the classics. His polish decent added to his amazing sense of humor as he Always had a joke to share with his many close friends.
Dave was also special and forever grateful as he was blessed to be the recipient of a heart transplant over 20 years ago.
