Kenneth W. Coe Jr., 84, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1941, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, the son of Kenneth W. and Beatrice (Kay) Coe, Sr.

Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (W4). Throughout his distinguished career, he served with honor at various posts including Recruit Training Center Great Lakes, USS Salish (ATA 187), USS Nereus (AS 17), USS Proteus (AS 19), USS Ajax (AR 6), USS Anchorage (LSD 36), USS Hector (AR 7), USS Samuel Gompers (AD 37), and several Naval training and maintenance commands in San Diego, Treasure Island, and Alameda, California. His exemplary service earned him numerous awards, including the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Battle Efficiency Ribbon, three Good Conduct Medals, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. After 27 years of dedicated service, he retired in April 1989.

After his military career, Ken worked for Millennium as a Supervisor. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and American Legion Cowle Post 151 in Conneaut. In his free time, Ken enjoyed golfing, woodworking, camping, metal working, welding and being with his cat Pooh Bear.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Teri (Chris) Yeast of Platea, and Tammy (Don) Otis of Conneaut; brother John (Barb) Coe of Conneaut; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maureen (Beckwith) Coe whom he married June 8, 1963, daughter Christine Hyder and son-in-law Tony Hyder, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be 11:00AM until 12:00 noon on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut followed by military honors at 12:30 PM, in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, N. Kingsville, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to the APL, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
