Obituary

Kenneth E. Spitler, 79, of Monroe Township, passed away Thursday evening September 14, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1944 in Bristolville, OH, the son of Charles and Doris (Clauss) Spitler.

Ken was an over the road truck driver working for Autumn and Tauro Trucking. He enjoyed going for long drives, boating, fishing, woodworking, mechanics, and driving for the Amish.

Survivors include his longtime companion Lois Dooley, his daughters Johnna (Gary) Disko of Bristol, Martha Padovani and Mindy Siroki, both of Mineral Ridge; his son Joseph Spitler of Girard, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Jan Johnson of Farmington and Sue Young of Warren; brothers Bill (Diane) Spitler of Champion, and Robert (Karen) Spitler of Bristol; his special nephew Harlan (Michele) Spitler of Kinsman; and his very special dog Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son James Spitler; son-in-law Thomas Padovani; sister Ruth Ann Duncan; and brothers Robert and William Clauss.

At Ken’s request, there will be no services held. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
