Kenneth Webb Obituary

Kenneth James Webb, 69, born on October 9, 1952, passed away during a magnificent sunset on Monday February 28, 2022, blanketed in calmness, peace and stillness while surrounded by his family, who will adore him always.

Ken was born to Kenneth and Ruby (Morris) Webb in Ravenna, Ohio, and while he traveled hundreds of thousands of miles in his lifetime, he called Conneaut, Ohio his home.

Ken’s occupation as a truck driver provided him the opportunity to deliver laughter, stories and friendship wherever the route would lead him. Those who met him loved him for his simple humility and his greatest fulfillment came from – unrelentingly - helping others. He loved his dog, Samantha most; and his children, grandchildren and all other family pets were tied for a close second. His legacy will be carried on by his family whenever they practice simple, unflinching generosity to others. Ken’s family will honor him by continuing to do the things he enjoyed the most: gathering a family for “dad’s roast” or “dad’s ribs” or “dad’s cole slaw” or “dad’s sweet potatoes;” never letting the adult team lose at any backyard games to the kid team; and kibitzing around bonfires, laughing with one another, making memories with friends and family. Ken had the uncanny ability to make anything, anything, just a little bit better.

Ken was welcomed in his passing by Laura (Crites) Webb, who undoubtedly has compiled a list of projects to greet him which only will provide him joy and meaning. He has also reunited with his mother and father who passed away more than four decades ago.

Ken’s greatest joy was being a partner to Laura (Crites) Webb and, even after divorce, they remained devoted to their family. He is survived by his children, Carly (Robert) Strader, Zachary (Jennifer) Webb, and Jacob (Katrina) Webb; his grandchildren, Tyler, Briana, and Christian Strader; Ava, Mason and Julianna Webb; Cohen and Caden Webb, and Abby and Cameron Swantek; and his sister, Marsha Foreman.

Ken’s family extends immeasurable gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio, whom cared so compassionately and tenderly for him during his brief illness.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ken’s life on Friday, March 4th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio.

Ken’s wishes for his family and friends are simply this: stop fussing over the little things and do what makes you happiest.

Contributions may be made to his family, in care of the Marcy Funeral Home.
