Laura R. Dewey, age 96, went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Ashtabula on December 23, 1927, daughter of the late Lawrence and Theresa (Gramc) Mosher.
Laura graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1946 and was married to Richard C. Dewey for 53 years. She worked at the Ashtabula Roller Rink, a sewing company, Conneaut Drug Co., and Infield Chiropractic. A faithful member of Family Alliance Church where she served as Deaconess, Social Committee, Women’s Mission and nursery helper. She enjoyed Bible studies and evening prayer services.
Laura was very blessed to have watched her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up throughout the years. She loved and prayed for all of them, wishing them all the best in life.
Survivors include her daughter Betsy (Tim) Hodge and son Charles (Sharon) Dewey; son-in-law Roger Clark of S.C.; eight grandchildren Dale Clark, Kim (Joey) Ecklund, both of S.C., Garrett Neubauer of S.C., Stephen Neubauer of PA., Casey (Heather) Dewey, Shana (Eric) McFeaters, Peter (Gina) Dewey of VA, and Greg (Kim) Dewey of N.C.; eleven great-grandchildren Sophie, Emily Joe Ecklund, Ella, Rowan, Naomi Dewey, Vivien McFeaters, James, Indiana Dewey, and Kennedy, Elizabeth, Carly Dewey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Dewey in 2001; daughter Marsha Clark in 2022; her great-grandson Ethan McFeaters in 2008; sisters Helen Giddings, Bessie Johnston, Lucille Murch, and Mary Barnum; and brothers Herbert, Lawrence, and Robert Mosher.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Family Alliance Church, 3137 East Center St., Conneaut, OH 44030 (Rt. 20, N. Kingsville across from Greenlawn Memory Gardens)
