Lois M. (Williams) McLaughlin

Lois M. McLaughlin, age 95, of Conneaut Ohio, died peacefully on October 3, 2020 at The Villa on the Lake.

She was born December 26, 1924 in Conneaut, to the late Ross and Emma (Neckerauer) Williams.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years Robert McLaughlin, children Richard McLaughlin of Columbus, Ohio, and Susan (Rowe) Shockley of Westerville Ohio.  Grandchildren include, Nicole (Nick) Kiser, Lauren (Josh) See, Andrew Hoffman, and great grandchildren Fiona and Carrick Kiser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Nelson and Robert Williams.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Altar Guild, Afternoon Circle, the Conneaut Community Center, a charter member of the Conneaut Area Historical Society, Dolls are Us Doll Club and volunteered her time at the Thrift Store to benefit Brown Memorial Hospital.  She served as a Brownie leader with the Girl Scouts and Den Mother with the Cub Scouts when her children were young.  Her interests included antiques, dolls, her family, as well as friendships with her many dear friends.

She was a graduate of Rowe High School Class of 1942.  After graduation she worked in the offices of General Electric and Webb Mfg., where she retired in 1986. 

Lois was dearly loved by her family and friends alike and will be greatly missed.  The family sends their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at The Villa on the Lake as well as Hospice of Western Reserve.

A private graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery.
