Mabel Kindoll Obituary

Mabel Kindoll, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. Born in Lakenheath, England, she carried the warmth and grace of her homeland with her as she immigrated to the United States in 1952. She became a proud U.S. citizen in 1961, embracing her new home while never forgetting her roots. Mabel was the beloved daughter of Emma and Fred Cash. She was blessed with three dear sisters—Vena Rogers and Doreen Dugan, who have since passed, and her surviving sister, Winnie Vincent (George) of Toledo, OH. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers: Harold, Jimmy, Rupert, and Ray Cash. One of the hardest losses in Mabel’s life was that of her beautiful daughter, Sallie Hughes, who passed away 24 years ago. Despite these losses, Mabel remained a beacon of love and strength for her family. She leaves behind three devoted children: Ginnie Freeman(David), Bonnie Rowbotham(Scott), and Tony Kindoll(Sue) of Valdosta, Georgia. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Carrie Vandeborne(Tim), Sabrina Shields(Aaron), Chris Hughes(Elizabeth), Mike Hughes(Marianna), Jeremy Kindoll(Ashley) & Shawn Kindoll(Becky), and David Freeman Jr., as well as multiple great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mabel had a smile and giggle that could brighten any room. Her kindness was effortless, her warmth unwavering. She had a deep love for all things “tea,” collecting delicate teacups and teapots that reflected her appreciation for beauty in the small moments of life. She found joy in knitting, crafting hats, blankets, and scarves that wrapped her loved ones in comfort and care. Her hands were always busy, creating something meaningful, whether it was a warm garment or a nurturing touch. Mabel dedicated years to Yoder Brothers Greenhouse, where she lovingly cared for plants, helping them flourish just as she did with the people around her. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching her “stories” and found happiness in simple pleasures like shopping with friends, cherishing the laughter and companionship that came with it. Mabel’s life was one of love, warmth, and devotion—a true testament to the beauty of a kind and compassionate heart. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the memories and love she shared with all who knew her.
