Margaret A. (Briggs) Carr

Margaret A. Carr formerly of Ashtabula passed away Sunday June 26, 2022 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.  She was born December 18, 1922 in Ashtabula the daughter of Roland and Alice (Reed) Briggs.

She graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1941.

Margaret belonged to the First Baptist Church in her early years where she taught Sunday School. She later joined State Line United Methodist Church.  She also belonged to the Monroe Sirens Women Auxiliary for Monroe Twp. Fire Department.

She enjoyed being with her family, was exceptional cook and loved spending time with kids.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Jeanne) Niemi, Sue (Michael) Read and Trudy (Kevin) Mueller; stepchildren, Larry (Sharon) Carr, Judi (John) Carter, Patti (Jerry) Kallenberger, and Bev (Jerry) Wilson numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Bettie Cinciarelli; son-in-law, Michael Craffey

She was preceded in death by her parent, husband Elbridge Carr; daughter, Margaret “Penny” Craffey.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday July 8, 2022 at StateLine United Methodist Church, 7321 Bushnell Rd Conneaut, Ohio 44030, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church.

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church or to Hospice of the Western Reserve.  Envelopes will be available at the church.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve and Barb, Crystal, and Betty Jo from the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for their excellent care.
