Margaret “Peg” Gibson, 87, of Conneaut passed away Friday September 1, 2023 at UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio after a short illness. Born July 19, 1936 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of George and Anna (Nance) Weatherston.
Peg attended Jefferson High School.
She worked for Stop N Shop and Value King then Travel America in Kingsville.
Peg was a home room mom, she was a boy and girl scout and 4-H leader, loved theater and performed in plays. She also loved crocheting, crafts and was a great cake decorator.
Peg’s greatest joy was her family. Some if her favorite things were animals, sunsets, Christmas and snow.
Survivors include her children, Jacquelyne “Jackie” Gresh, Geroge Mitcham, Gwen Sanford, Scott Mitcham, Jack (Stacie Bezon) Gibson; grandchildren, Cody, Casey, Winter, Sierra, Autumn, Justin, Brett, Kyle, Christopher, Cody, Samantha and Brooke; and fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Thomas Weatherston and Nancy Johnston.
She was preceded in death by parents, son Barry Mitcham and husband Jack Gibson.
Per Peg’s wishes no services or calling hours will be held. A private celebration of life will be held at the family’s convenience.
The family would like to thank the Ahuja’a medical team and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the care they provided to Peg.
The arrangements have been entrusted to the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
