Margaret J. “Peggy” Watson, 73, of Kingsville, OH passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsville, OH. She was born January 15, 1949 and was the daughter of Clifford and Katherine (Steinhoff) Loomis in Conneaut, OH.
After graduating high school, she worked for the several local businesses including the former Astatic Corporation, Talarico Family who owned and operated the hotel which is now YOLO, The Silver Diner on State Street and Tony’s Diner in the Conneaut Harbor.
In years past, she was quite the bowler and skating rink girl, and enjoyed playing the harmonica and accordion and collecting owls, snowmen, and Santa’s. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandbabies.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Dimond of Lewisburg, KY; grandchildren Alexander Zappitella of Springfield, IL and Maxwell Zappitella of Lafayette, IN; great grandchildren Alexis, Serenity and Xavier Zappitella of Springfield, IL and Phaedra and Gabriel Zappitella of Lafayette, IN; and Sisters Thelma “June” Devos and Betty Ann Nadolski.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Vanlarion J., daughter Kim Erikson, sister Jean Kopilec and brother Lynn Cole.
A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held in later spring or summer and will be announced by The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030, who have been entrusted with her arrangements.
