Obituary
Marjorie S. Phillips, 96, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Lake Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 25, 1926 in Conneaut, the daughter of Carl and Louise (Andrews) Tinney.
Marjorie worked at the Astatic and was a member of South Ridge Baptist Church where she was secretary. She enjoyed crocheting afghan’s, traveling, bird watching, jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter Marjorie Chapman of Conneaut; son Douglas (Nancy) Phillips of Conneaut; grandchildren Marcy and Sarah; and great-grandchildren Devyn, Peyton, and Norah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wallace “Wally” Phillips; brothers Jack and Bill Tinney; and son-in-law Lynn Chapman.
Celebration of life will be 1:00 PM, Saturday March 18, 2023 at South Ridge Baptist Church, 924 Center Rd., Conneaut, with Rev. Dr. Roger P. Hogle officiating.
Contributions may be made to South Ridge Baptist Church or to Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the church.
The arrangements have been entrusted to the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
