Marlene K. (Thompson) Laituri

Marlene Kay Thompson Laituri, age 82, of Conneaut OH passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kingsville, Ohio.  She was born on July 24, 1943, daughter of the late Leonard and Mildred Thompson. 

Marlene enjoyed playing cards with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her faithful dog Bella.

Marlene married the of the love of her life, John C. Laituri, on April 2, 1960 and is the loving mother of three children, Michelle Taylor (Eddie) of Conneaut, Ohio, John C. Laituri II (Stephanie) of Walnut Shade, Missouri, and Kelly Brecht (Rod) of Kansas City, Missouri.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Janet Douglas, Dolores Williams, Joyce Rangel, and Irene Pyle, and brother Michael Thompson.

Marlene is survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren Christie Joslin (Aaron), Cory Taylor (Diana Dragusciuc), Nicole Taylor, Baxter Brecht, Brady Brecht, Leighton Rexilius, Kayleigh Bain (Jared), Carlton Rexilius (Jessica), Christian Rexilius; great grandsons Jack and Smith Joslin and John Bain; two brothers, Larry Thompson (Joyce) and Leonard Thompson; and sister Sandra Harrington (David).

In keeping with Marlene’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
