Mary Louise (Price) Munson

Mary Louise Munson, 93, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday evening, January 7, 2021.  She was born March 19, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA to Josephine (McDermott) and Michael J. Price. 

Mary Louise graduated from St. Raphael Catholic High School and attended Robert Morris Business School in Pittsburgh. She worked at several jobs in Pittsburgh and Conneaut before retiring from the P & C Dock Company.    

Mrs. Munson was a member of St. Mary Church and was involved with Catholic Daughters for several years.   She was an avid reader (Mary Higgins Clark was a favorite author), enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and watching the NFL, especially her beloved Steelers.  Mary Louise was not fond of cooking but delighted her grandchildren with her specialty, French toast!  She also faithfully followed her grandchildren’s sports and activities. Family was everything to her.

Survivors include daughters Barbara Jo (Richard) Roth of Willoughby and Kathleen (Stephen) Bunnell of Conneaut; sons Mark of Conneaut and David (Julie) of Allen, Texas.  She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Eric, (Alyson), Katherine, Jeremy, Emily, Megan (Zac), Kelsey (Jake), Andrew, Lauren, Matthew (Holly) and Michael and great grandchildren Austin, Finley, Lincoln, Riley, and Everly.

Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, and siblings Rosemary, Phyllis, Joseph, and Jerry.

Due to the global pandemic, private services will be held.  On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Father Philip Miller will preside at a Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church.   Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. 

Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty Street, Conneaut, has been entrusted with arrangements.  

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Conneaut Food Pantry 327 Mill St, Conneaut, Oh, 44030. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A celebration of Mary Louise’s life is planned for summer 2021.
