Mary Ann (Mallory) Steadman

Mary Ann Steadman, 88, of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday morning, December 9, 2021 at her home. She was born August 25, 1933 in Conneaut, the daughter of Francis and Emma (Weithman) Mallory.

Mary Ann worked for the Conneaut Area City Schools as the treasurer years ago, receiving their first perfect audit the school had ever had. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Conneaut, and had attended Our Lady of Peace Parish, Ashtabula. Church was very important to her, she volunteered many hours at Our Lady of Peace after her husband had passed in 2009.

She enjoyed gardening, going for walks, riding motorcycles, and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter Dorothy Spiller of Phoenix, AZ; her sons Patrick (Theta) Steadman of Jefferson, Michael (Tammy) Steadman of Coco Beach, FL, Timothy Steadman of Denton, FL, Terrance (Eagle) Steadman of Tampa Bay, FL, and Thomas (Renee) Steadman of Conneaut; grandchildren Joshua, Lisa, Nina, Anna, Jason, Christopher, Angelina Steadman, Donny (Amy) Ralston, Kristy (Henry) Jarvi, Michelle (John Paul) Osborn, Megan, Cassie, Len Spiller, III, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Steadman; her brother Cyril Mallory; and her sister Dorothy Mallory.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1200 E. 21st, Ashtabula, OH 44004 with Father Raymond Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be 4-6PM, Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St.

Masks are required at both the funeral and visitation.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Envelopes will be available at the church and at the funeral home.
