Melanie E. Walker, 80, of Madison, passed away February 17, 2026 at Lakeland House in Madison. She was born June 4, 1945 in Conneaut, the daughter of Charles Walker and Bernice (Siepler) Spice.
Melanie had a great love for people. She enjoyed going to work at the MRDD workshop, eating candy and drinking pop, coloring, and receiving thoughtful gifts. She also enjoyed attending Cleveland Browns football games and spending time with family at picnics. Above all, Melanie loved God and found great happiness in attending church.
Survivors include her sister Beverly Degregori of Conneaut; brother William “Bill” Walker of Conneaut; nieces and nephews Sarah (Paul) Harvey of Bay Village, Laura (Dan) Simpson of Danfield, CA, Doug (Tracey) Abby of Conneaut, Randy (Kelly) Rowe of Brunswick, OH, Ed (Sue) Heys of Vermont, Bob (Polly) Hunter of Columbus, OH, and Neal (Tida) Degregori of Burkley Springs, WV; and many great-nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives..
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather Jack Spice; brothers and sister-in-laws Douglas (Marylou) Abby, and Charles (Katherine) Walker; and sister -in-law Elizabeth Kennedy Walker.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Rt. 20, N. Kingsville, OH.
