Michael Lee Huston, 58, of West Springfield was received into the arms of his loving Savior after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. He was born December 6, 1962 in Erie, PA the son of Royce & Mary Jane (Henretty) Huston, Sr.
Michael was a lifelong Albion area resident where he attended Northwestern High School.
Everyone who knew Michael, knew him for his big heart, kindness, generosity, and compassionate nature. He was a straight shooting, no nonsense speaking man, with a tough exterior but had a heart of gold. Up until the time of his illness Michael was known as being a very hard worker who you could always count on to get the job done right. Michael had a wide variety of work skills and could fix almost anything.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending it with his family, friends and especially
his grandchildren, who were his light and his motivation to keep him going during his illness. Michael was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to us all. During his life Michael always put others before his own needs, always lending a hand without asking for anything in return. He will be greatly missed. He loved four wheeling with the grand kids and watching football. Michael was recently baptized and enjoyed attending church when his in health was up.
Survivors include his children, Keri Huston, Elizabeth Mitchell, Shana Brotherton, Charlie (Lisa) Huston, Andrew Griffis, nine grandchildren; mother Mary Jane Huston, siblings, Sheila (Scott) Williams, Sharon (Scott) Beery, Dawn (Shannon) Rider, Randy (Christina) Huston, Matthew Huston, David (Chris) Huston.
He was preceded in death by his dad Royce Huston, Sr; brothers, Daryl, Duane and Royce, Jr.
