Michael A. "Mouse" Mundi

Michael A. “Mouse” Mundi, 76, of Conneaut, passed away early Friday morning, July 9, 2021, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA. He was born April 8, 1945, in Conneaut, the son of Frank and Anna (Milakovich) Mundy, Sr.

After high school, Mouse joined the United States Army, and received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart while serving during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad as an Engineer, retiring in 2005.

Mouse married the love of his life Carolyn (Coleman) Mundi September 26, 1970, and spent 44 years together before her passing.

He was a member of the American Legion Cowle Post #151 and past member of the Conneaut Moose Lodge. Mouse enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, going to breakfast and playing golf with his friends, sitting on his porch keeping an eye out on the neighborhood and spending time with his little buddies. But most of all, he loved to collect classic cars and attending car shows.

Mouse is survived by his sons Lenny (Emily) Mundi, and Mick Cline, both of Conneaut; his step-daughter Michele (Kevin) Kellum of Deltona, FL; grandchildren Shon, Adrianna, Shelby, and Darrin, II, four great-grandchildren; his sister Kay Ann Brabender of Jefferson; his brother John (Connie) Mundy of Erie; and several nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life Carolyn in 2014; his brother Frank Mundi, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Jon Brabender.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held 5-7 PM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with military honors being conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151 at 7:00 P.M.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their classic cars to celebrate Mouse’s love of cars for a car showcase in his memory.

No funeral services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Feed Our Vets, 433 Center St., Ashtabula, OH 44004, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
