Myra Jean Wheeler, 81, of Conneaut, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, following a short illness. She was born January 4, 1937 in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Harry and Marian (Beahon) Eaton.
Myra graduated from Rowe High School in 1955 and had worked for Fortune-Byers and Harbor Hardware and also for Eaton and Morris Flowers. In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was a member of the Quilting Club, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, decorating, and ancestry.
Survivors include her daughter Sheryl “Sherry” Wheeler of Ladson, SC; her son Robert “Bob” (Michelle) Wheeler of Pell City, AL; grandchildren Jeremy, Joshua, Greg, Mark, Michelle, Amanda, Leola, Everett; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Harry (Joan) Eaton of Conneaut, and Robert (Debbie Tice) Eaton of Mena, AR; her sister Patricia (John) Van Norman of N. Kingsville; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Wheeler of Hanahan, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Douglas Wheeler; her son Gerould “Jerry” Wheeler; and her great-grandson Alex.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M., Monday, August 20, 2018, at Myra’s residence, 220 Woodland Ave., Conneaut, OH 44030. Inurnment will take place at the convenience of her family in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township.
