Norman L. Toncre, 84, of Conneaut, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Hospice House in Cleveland, OH. He was born January 6, 1938, in Painesville, OH, the son of Albert and Gladys (Brainard) Toncre.
Norman was a veteran of the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, he worked for General Motors as a Draftsman. He was a member of the Kingsville First Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. At his past churches he was Deacon, taught Sunday School and was an Elder. His faith and attending church were very important to him, he was a giving person and always willing to help others.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, landscaping, gardening, and golfing. He also enjoyed woodworking, bowling, roller-skating in his earlier years, and sang barbershop in Youngstown.
Norman had a love for special needs children at Maples in Conneaut where his daughter resides, and Ashcraft industries
Survivors include his wife Constance “Connie” (Jarvi) Toncre; his daughter Judy Toncre, of Conneaut; his granddaughter Sara Barrett who they are raising; grandchildren Jordan and Joel Barrett; sister-in-law Barbara Henry; and niece LeeAnn Gunderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Janice Barrett; his brother Wayne Toncre; and his sister-in-law Carole Jarvi.
A celebration of life will be 11AM, Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Kingsville First Baptist Church, 6003 St. Rt. 193, Kingsville, OH.
Inurnment was held in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH.

Envelopes will be available at the service and are also available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St, Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
