Patricia A. (Makepeace) Kananen

Former Conneaut resident, Patricia A. Kananen, 76, of Wickliffe, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights. She was born July 25, 1945 in Conneaut, the daughter of Willard and Alice (Soini) Makepeace.

Patricia worked for the City of Conneaut as a dispatcher and also clerk for accounts payable. She worked for Brown Memorial Hospital for admitting and switch board operator.

She enjoyed watching movies, knitting, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Diane (Marty) Byrne of Wickliffe; her sons Phillip Kananen of Columbus, Brian Kananen of Conneaut, and John Kananen of Pleasantville, KY; grandchildren Chad, John, Danny, and Kevin; and one great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter Lauren Kananen; brother Richard Makepeace; and sister Barbara Wing.

Celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
