Patricia Ann (Henderson) Mitchell

Patricia Ann Mitchell, 85, of Kingsville, passed away Monday September 21, 2020 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  She was born April 2, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Howard & Thelma (Weaver) Henderson.

Patricia moved to Conneaut in 1945 from Columbia Station in Ohio.  She graduated from Conneaut High School in 1953.  Mrs. Mitchell worked for Astatic Corp. and then PPG in Ashtabula she also worked for Simones Golden Dawn.

Patricia had been a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir when she was younger, past secretary of the Methodist Women’s General and Executive meetings.  She was in charge of the Canteen for the Red Cross Blood Bank at Good Shepherd Church, Member of Orion Chapter # 12 Order of Eastern Stars in Kingsville where she served as Worthy Matron three times and Secretary for several years, she was a Grand Representative for Rhode Island in Ohio.  Charter member of Buttons and Bows Child Conservation League in Ashtabula, Past Secretary of the Ashtabula Water Ski Club, Past Secretary of the Conneaut Civic Committee,

She loved to bowl, water ski and dance in her younger years, Patricia also loved playing pinochle and solving puzzles in the paper.

She graciously volunteered her time in the gift shop and the Gray Ladies at Brown Memorial and UH Conneaut, volunteered for D-Day Reenactment as a bus orientator, the WWII Veterans Table and the D-day Museum and also volunteered her time for the Chamber of Commerce.  Patricia was happiest when she was with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sister Margaret Butcher; son Tim Blakeslee of Kingsville; grandchildren, Justin and Matthew (Karen) Blakeslee, Jennifer Llamas; great-grandchildren, Nikolas Llamas and Zelan Blakeslee.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley, siblings, Jim Henderson, Linda Reitz.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday September 29, 2020 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, North Kingsville with Pastor Tim Kraus officiating.
