Patricia (Wise) Mundi

Patricia Mundi, 91 of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 29th at her daughter’s home in Navasota, Texas. 

Patricia was born in Butte, Montana on May 24, 1931 to Mannie and Dorothy Wise and was the oldest of two children.  The family relocated to Conneaut, Ohio when she was very young.  After graduation from Conneaut High School Patricia began working at a local bank for several years.  She met and married Bud Mundi and together they raised two children.  Mrs. Mundi was involved in various school and social organizations in the community while her children were in school.  Patricia was an avid pet lover; enjoyed gardening and watching the birds flock to her feeders. She loved flowers, and loved having fresh cut flowers on her table most of the time.  Patricia loved her family and spending time with them.  After losing her husband of over 50 years in 2008, she became a “Texas Snowbird” in 2009, enabling her to spend more time with her daughter and her family.  She enjoyed cruising, flying and road trips visiting new places.  Patricia had many friends in Navasota and some of her most precious memories are centered around time spent with them.  

Mrs. Mundi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Steve Austin; son Christopher Mundi; granddaughter Candis Austin Mohr (Matt); two great-grandchildren, Kodi and Kullen; sister-in-law Joy Kent; nephews Mark and Randy Sanford; niece Paula Knepp as well many extended family members  and friends and her special caretakers Terry Caldwell, Yvette Harrison, and Sabrina Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bud Mundi; sister Jackie Knepp and nephew Chuck Knepp.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 7th at Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St. Conneaut, Ohio.

Chapel services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 8th at the Greenlawn Memory Garden, 3140 East Center Rd. North Kingsville, Ohio.
