Peter enlisted into the United States Army at the age of 18 where he served as a duty soldier in WWII. He was presented the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupations Medal when he was stationed in Japan. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he went onto enjoy spending time in Las Vegas at the blackjack tables. He later settled in Florida where he took over ownership of George’s Tavern in Sanford, FL, that he owned and operated for over 50 years. His free time was often spent playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his best friend Billy and friends telling stories over breakfast. Peter was a man of few words, yet quirky, and never sugar coated what he had to say.
