Phillip M. Hoskins, 76, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday morning, May 20, 2021 at The Villa at the Lake in Conneaut. He was born August 3, 1944 in Conneaut, the son of Wesley Elman “Ike” and Margaret (Holdson) Hoskins.
Phil graduated high school and attended The Ohio State University under the ROTC program, then enlisted in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Captain. After his active duty commitment, he received his masters degree and became lead Engineer for GE designing locomotives.
He enjoyed cars, woodworking, remodeling homes, working in the yard, kayaking, biking, rollerblading, and walking.
Survivors include his sister Linda (Mark) Kauppila of North Kingsville; his brother Thomas (Marilou) Hoskins of Elizabeth City, NC; his sister-in-law Jennifer Hoskins; and several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale Hoskins.
Funeral service will be 12:00PM, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at New Leaf United Methodist Church with Pastor Jan Walsh officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of the service at noon.
Masks are mandatory at the service.
Contributions may be made to the Conneaut Food Pantry or Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the church and at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
