Rex A. Sturgill

Rex A. Sturgill, 48, of Jefferson, died Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2020. He was born February 18, 1972 in Ashtabula, OH, and was the son of Starling and Diane (Kapferer) Sturgill.

Rex was an arborist for Trask Tree Service. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, watching sunsets, and being with his family.

Survivors include his parents of Jefferson; his children Adam Sturgill, Amber Sturgill, and Austin Sturgill, all of Ashtabula County, and Alex Sturgill of North Carolina; and his sisters Rhonda Pearce of Kinsman and Rebecca Johnson of Pierpont.

He was preceded in death by his son Ryan Allen Sturgill; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Celebration of Life will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 E. Satin St., Jefferson, OH 44047, with Pastor Curtis Cecil officiating. With the current Covid-19 pandemic, masks are mandatory, social distancing will be observed.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00AM until the time of the service at 1:00PM on Tuesday at the church.
