Rhoda (Kilo) McCann

Rhoda McCann, 74, of Conneaut, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Friday, May 1, 2026. She was born July 11, 1951 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Esther (Crump) Kilo, Sr.

Rhoda was raised along the Monongahela River, swimming, playing and exploring the creek bed which began her love for waterways and beaches. Her zest for life was contagious, if the sun was shining and people were around, Rhoda was in her happy place. She loved to cook and feed anyone including the less fortunate people who might be walking by her home. It did not matter where she would go, her fun spirit and zest for life, sense of humor, and ability to make anything fun blessed her with many friends. She loved to travel, load the car up with her children and their friends for days at the beach, shopping, trips to the casino, tending to her flower garden, listening to Elvis Presley and dancing. What brought the largest smile and happiness was being a mother and grandmother, family was everything to Rhoda. Her nature kept friendship and communication open with former spouse John (Linda) Sichko, making gatherings possible for the entire family.

She is survived by her children Chrissy (Troy Higley) Sichko, Stephanie (Ray Hayes) Sichko, Angela (Ron) Gilchrist, Dan (Jessie) Sichko and John (MaryLou) Sichko; sister and best friend Linda Vinch; two brothers Joseph (Marilyn) Kilo and Ed (Wendy) Kilo; grandchildren Logan, Hayley, Ty (Morgan), Tehya, Abbey, Giana, Tommy, Adilyn, Kyra, Cali and Danny; one great granddaughter Zurie; and numerous, very special and much loved nieces and nephews.

Rhoda was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life William “Bill” McCann who passed in July and whom she married in 1994, and two nephews Anthony Vinch and Jeremy Kilo.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 PM at The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH 44030 who is honored to be entrusted with her services.

Keeping with Rhoda’s kindness of feeding people, memorial contributions can be made to the Conneaut Food Pantry, 327 Mill St. Conneaut, OH 44030. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
