Richard R. Renn, 78, of Conneaut, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was born December 11, 1945 in Conneaut, the son of Rudolph Renn and Marion (Braden) Remmel.
Richard attended Conneaut High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force service from 1963 until 1967. After his honorable discharge, he returned home and worked as a chemical operator for Delta Chemical.
He was a member of the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151, Conneaut Moose Lodge #472 and Masonic Relief Lodge #284 in Pierpont, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, shooting darts at different clubs, and watching the Cincinnati Bengals on TV. Richards favorite thing to do was to have Super Bowl parties for everyone and make jambalaya, his family got together and did this one last time for him on Sunday. Most of all, Richard loved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Goldie (Braden) Renn, whom he married June 20, 1964; his daughters Kimberly (Gary) Tantari of Monroe, Christine Kreiling of Pierpont; son Richard (Beth) Renn, II, of Conneaut; sister Pam (Chuck) Burlingham; brothers John (Laura Branthoover) Rutherford, Charles (Dee) Rutherford and Wayne Rutherford, all of Conneaut; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery in Monroe Township, OH with military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
