Robert "Bob" E Jones

Robert “Bob” E. Jones, 75, of Ashtabula, passed away Wednesday, December 31,

2025. He was born February 15, 1950 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Robert and Agnes

(Skul) Jones.

Bob graduated from Willoughby South High School and enlisted in the United States

Navy where he was a boiler operator serving from 1969 until 1973. After his honorable

discharge, he worked a variety of jobs including auto parts distribution for Saturn, a floor

polisher for Jim Dandy Services, and most recently a bus driver for Madison School

District.

He was a member of the Disabled Vets Associations. Bob had a passion for cycling,

especially in the Cuyahoga Valley area. He had a great sense of humor, always telling

dad jokes and puns. He also had a love for classic cars, going to car shows, and being

with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Cynthia (Champlin) Jones whom he married April 7, 2007; his

daughter Tracy (Keith) Gamble of Morgantown, WV; step-daughter Crystal (Larry)

Hamm of Conneaut; daughter-in-law Pam Jones of Perry, OH; grandchildren Annmarie

and Jack Gamble of Morgantown, WV; Ashlee (Marcus Jewell) Jones of Willoughby,

Aiden Jones of Camp Pendleton, CA, and Matilyn Jones of Perry; Larry III, Noah, and

Liz Hamm, all of Conneaut; and great-grandson Isaiah Jewell. He was also survived by

his sisters Patty (Frank) Fox, Judy Gleason, Peggy Kiikka; brother Ron (Lois) Jones;

sister-in-law Terry Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Rob; brother Raymond; and brother-in-

laws Bill Gleason and Scott Kiikka.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, no services will be held.

County Metro Parks. Envelopes will be available at the Marcy Funeral Home and

Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with

arrangements.
